Details:

Our annual Astronomy Day. Packed with lots of fun activities for the whole family. We will be building sundials and star finders, running a scavenger hunt for interstellar objects, observing the sun through our special telescopes and learning how build comets in your kitchen.

We will also have a special presentation of "How Big is Big, How Far is Far" by Richard Wade at 11am. Richard gives these kid-centric and highly interactive presentations all over the country. You don't want to miss this.

This event is free and open to the public so come join us for a day of fun.

That evening, around 7pm, come back to the library for some night time viewing through our instrument-grade telescopes. We'll have a couple of planets, the moon and hopefully some other interesting objects available to see with your own eyes. Weather permitting of course.

Location Info:

The Valencia branch of the Santa Clarita Public Library.
