This month Dave will give another of his Constellation of the Month lectures.

We have a special guest: Tony Travouillon, currently working on the Thirty Meter Telescope, will be giving a presentation "Commuting to the office for an Antarctic Astronomer". With unique sky conditions, the high Antarctic plateau offers an opportunity to astronomers often only available from space. Follow Tony as he embarks for a long trip to the ice and witness some sights not usually associated with astronomy.

We will be discussing Astronomy Day, DPS Observing, LAAS Family night, Mt. Wilson, Sidewalk Astronomy and other upcoming activities.

The Barnes & Noble bookstore located on the East side of Valencia Blvd, between Magic Mountain Pkwy and Creekside Rd.

The club holds it's monthly meetings here. As you enter, the meeting room is to the left.

This Barnes & Noble bookstore also has a Starbucks so feel free to pick up a latte before the meeting.
