Come join us at our quarterly star party at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area in Agua Dulce. Sundown is around 8pm so hopefully it will start to cool off after that. Come on out and enjoy the evening. Both Jupiter and Saturn will be making an appearance along with lots of wonderful Summer galaxies, star clusters and nebulae.

We will be having a telescope workshop beforehand so if you are having trouble with your scope, just got a new one or feel like digging out that old one from back of the closet, bring it out around 6pm and we'll help you set it up. We can give you some basic training on how to use it and provide pointers that will make your solo observing sessions more enjoyable.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
