Join us for our quarterly free public star party. We will have lots of telescopes set up viewing planets, nebulae, star clusters and distant galaxies.

UPDATE: We are a "GO" for tonight. It will be hot so dress appropriately and stay hydrated. There will be some clouds so we'll do our best to find interesting targets.

This will double as our monthly meeting for July since the Library is booked. (There is a pun there somewhere...) The club meeting will take place off to the side at 7:00 for about 30 minutes or so.

Beginning at 5pm we will be hosting our regular telescope workshop. Bring out that old or new telescope and we'll help you get it set up for the evening's viewing.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
