Looks like Mother Nature is going to rain on our parade so we will attempt to reschedule this event for February 2nd. Hope you all can make it!

Join us for our quarterly free public star party. We will have lots of telescopes set up viewing planets, nebulae, star clusters and distant galaxies.

Sundown is around 5:00pm.

We will have our regular telescope workshop beginning at 4:00. Bring out that old telescope you have in the closet or that new one you just purchased and we'll help you get it up and running. Please make sure you bring all the parts and necessary batteries.

The site of our quarterly public star parties.

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
