the annual Placerita Canyon Nature Center Open House. The Local Group will be there with our booth and solar telescopes to look at our closest star!

NOTE: This year they are trying to beat the heat so the event will begin at 9am.

The Local Group volunteers should plan to be there by 7am to get set up. Not sure what the food situation will be (they usually have food trucks) so consider bringing a lunch and lots of liquids to stay hydrated.

Location Info:

The Placerita Canyon Nature Center is located off Placerita Canyon Rd. east of the 14 freeway. We used to hold our meetings there. We still participate in their annual open house.

This is a State park so please follow all the park regulations.
