Greetings Local Group Members and Guests!

The Local Group Astronomy Club looks forward to seeing you at our regular monthly meeting beginning at 6:30 PM PST. Our meeting will take place in the meeting room at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Valencia. The bookstore is located at Creekside Place, 23630 Valencia Blvd, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.

Beginning at 7 pm, we’ll have a presentation by Local Group club member Dave Flynn sharing an in-depth talk on the constellations surrounding the story of Perseus. Those constellations include: Cepheus, Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Pegasus, Cetus and of course Perseus himself. Attendees will learn about the myth of Perseus as well as all of the deep sky objects visible in the constellations reflected in the story.

The Barnes & Noble bookstore located on the East side of Valencia Blvd, between Magic Mountain Pkwy and Creekside Rd.

The club holds it's monthly meetings here. As you enter, the meeting room is to the left.

This Barnes & Noble bookstore also has a Starbucks so feel free to pick up a latte before the meeting.
