Details:

Vasquez Rocks Natural Area is hosting "A Day at the Rocks" and The Local Group will be there with our booth. This is a fun day filled with exhibits, crafts, story telling and guided hikes. There will also be food trucks and vendors.

The Local Group will be there with some solar scopes to let folks look at our closest star. Also, that evening is our wonderful Vasquez Rocks star party beginning at 7:30pm. http://www.lgscv.org/events/610

Enter the park via the main gate, turn left at the ranger station and continue to the end of the road past the large rocks.

Notes:

This is a County Park so please be mindful of the rules. aka, no alcohol. No smoking of any kind except in your vehicle. The park normally closes at sundown but during our Star Parties, we make special arrangements to have the gates open until the event concludes. Also, please stay at the event after dark. The rest of the park is not open to the public after dark and you will be asked to leave if you stray from the event area.
